I had great hopes for this Maths book as a student searching for an accurate and dependable math reference but my experience with this book was irritating and unsatisfactory.
To begin with, the explanations presented in the book are frequently Unclear and Confusing. RD Sharma assumes previous knowledge that many students, particularly beginners may not understand. Students struggle to understand the concepts since there aren’t enough examples and step-by-step explanations which makes them feel lost and confused.
Also, the book structure is chaotic and disorganised. Instead of presenting the issues logically and sequentially. The content jumps back and forth between the chapters making it difficult to understand and follow a consistent learning path. The book’s value as a learning tool is severely limited by its lack of organisational Structure.
Another issue is the exercises that are included in the book. The exercises in this book are frequently repetitive and lack variety, given the fact that practice is necessary for understanding mathematics. This leads to boredom, because student wants something different and interesting resources.
As a result, this book is useless as a teaching tool. It contributes nothing to the development of true understanding of mathematics because due to its unclear explanation and disorganised content and lack of practical examples. To promote a more satisfying learning experience I would suggest that students look to alternative books that include clear explanations and more logical structure and focus on practical examples.
