I had traveled to Israel & Jordan in Nov 2014 & had taken 2 postpaid Sim cards free talk time approx 550/- on each card & had activated my Internet . I was assured that money would be charged on the number of calls made and actual usage of Internet. Hence I had activated the internet plan.
On reaching Israel I found that my Sim card is not working. I was not able to make a single call back home. Internet was not used. After reaching India, the same was conveyed to to their representative in Pune . He had assured me that money would not be deducted since the Sim card was not working. However on 3rd Jan 2015, I was shocked to see Rs 13136.14 being deducted from my Credit Card by Matrix Cellular.
They have directly deducted Rs 13136.14 from my Credit card for a non working card. I was not even intimated before deducting the money . They did not even send me the Bill generated on the basis of which they have come to this figure of Rs 13136.14 & deducted the money without my confirmation. How can a Company like Matrix charge without even sending the Bills? This is illegal.
On complaining to their executive from whom I had taken the card, I was told to send him an email about non functioning of the card and asking for reverting the money back to my credit card and he would do so once he receives my email. However after I sent the email as was asked by the Matrix guy, I have received a reply l stating that they cannot refund the amount for non functioning of Sim card because I had reported them after I came back.
This is a very ridiculous reply. Is Matrix expecting people to run behind them and call them from outside India if their cards do not work & waste more money on them and spoil their holidays .Its common sense that people will complain once they are back.
This is very unprofessional behavior on part of the Matrix Staff in Pune. I have emailed them twice asking for a copy of the Bill showing the number of calls made, internet used etc. However they are not responding.
I am shocked to see my money deducted when I have not made a single outgoing call since the card was not working . I have been wrongly charged for the non functioning of their cards .
Will never ever use a Matrix card again and will not even recommend it . Matrix has also taught me a hard lesson on not to use post paid cards and give the credit card details. These people misuse the details, do not send copies of the Bill and deduct money and not even reply. They are fraud and liars.
I think its best to activate your local cards if going out for a short time. At least they work, you can view the Bill as well as be satisfied that you have actually used the service. Am sure the service would also be good and much cheaper than Matrix.
