I know from the other reviews it seems people have really liked Matrix reloaded but I would like to ask all those who had watched the first Matrix in a hall, did you really like this one as much as you liked the first one?
I personally did not think this was anything to write home about. The first Matrix was wonderful. it was different, it was completely mind boggling. It was a new concept all together technically as well as conceptually.I know many people had to go back and see the movie twice or thrice to be able to make sense of it and what they were trying to say.
Matrix Reloaded on the other hand suffers from being a sequel to a super hit. Though the concept obviously cannot remain new, I felt they overdid the action bit. There were times when I felt as if it was more than enough. I refer especially to the scene where Keanu Reeves is trying fight off numerous clones of Agent Smith. Its ridiculous, he seemingly could fly away then what was he doing stranded there?
Moreover it felt as if there were too many characters added and too many people were giving lectures. Almost everyone seemed to be preaching or phillosophising.The members of the board in the city seemed ridiculous, senseless.
I would say that despite the review those of you who have seen the first Matrix should probably see this one too, but perhaps you don’t need to waste money by watching it in the cinema hall.
