THE PLOT
The basic story like ’The Matrix’ revolves around the possibility of Neo saving the remnant humans from the inimical elements - and there are plenty of them here.The story takes a realistic start with the news that the ever persistent agents having reached the limits of their tolerance with respect to the neverending resilience of the remaining humans are sending 250, 000 centinnials to Zion to finish them for once and for good. Everyone is highly agitated with the life threatening news.
However, Morpheus the leader of the revolutionaries like always stands by his belief that the prophecy of the Oaracle that Neo would save the world. In a brief meeting with the Oaracle, she tells Neo that all the characters in the matrix are programs used to serve a purpose.When a better program replaces the old program, or it has fulfilled its use, the old one must return to the source. As if all this wasn’t enough for him to take in, to top it all, she leaves him dangling by saying that he too must return to the source.She also makes him believe that his visions regarding ’Trinity in danger’ were no dreams but the path he had chosen to follow.With this leaving him in a bit of a frenzied state of mind she departs.
Neo recalls that the Oaracle had said that the key to the door that lead to the source lay with the ’keymaker’ whose keeper was a villanous Frenchman, Meryl Vinge. But, before he proceeds he has Smith to contend with, an agent in’The Matrix’, whose program he had forced into a defunct state.Apparently he was no longer an agent because of his failure, was not part of the system of programs anymore but an independent file which in turn gave him the right to make innumerable copies of himself to seek personal vengeance against Neo.Thus ensues an alredy evident battle-Neo vs.Millions of Smith. in which Neo tests your imagination with some really awesome, almost inconceivable action to go with his equally fascinating acrobatics in the virtual world.Having finished with Smith, Neo now has to confront the frenchman.He is intrigued to find That Meryl is an individual of extraordinary psychological prowess.He has exemplary control over the human mind.However his goons and he are not enough to stop Morpheus and co. from stealing the keymaker away.
Then follows an extraordinary set of actionpacked events which sees Neo and co.joined by 2 other commanders from Zion, chased by Meryl’s goons and the agents.But they manage a narrow escape by the skin of their teeth. Just when Neo and co.have reached the very door leading to the source following a master plan devised by Morpheaus, Neo is surprised to find that Smith’s back, with a huge population of....... himself again.And where Smith is, skulduggery at its ugliest couldn’t be far away.And, so ensues another actionwala scene which sees the end of the keymaker, but not before he’s handed the key to the source to Neo.
The ASTOUNDING REVELATION
Neo unlocks the door to the source but what does he find?a master computer-no, some supreme power?Don’t let your imagination run wild its just a human , the architect of the matrix, a jumbled software where each program has apurpose, a picture of mathematical precision where each program is supposed to operate in harmony.What shocks Neo is his revealation that he’s the very anomaly because of which the matrix had to be terminated 5 times and was about to finish for a 6th time.Neo was the only erraneous program in the matrix which caused him to be rebellious and induce the same in others, he didn’t follow the logic of his intended program for which the architect had no explanation.That was why humans and machines couldn’t live in harmony in’The Matrix’.The architect leaves him 2 choices-2 doors:
THE ACID TEST
1.Since Zion would be destroyed anyway while he was away, (So, the Oaracle had just lied to lead him away from the truth)he could choose the door which will give him a chance to save Trinity who looked like dying, battling with an agent as the architect informs him as he was speaking to him.
2.Or, he could choose the other door, accept Zion’s doom and start a new human race with 23 selected individuals. Apparently, he had chosen the 2nd door 5 times before.So, which one would he choose now?Will we see the 7th version of the matrix? Or, would he be a responsible lover and be able to save Trinity and thus be irresponsible towards the salvation of Zion?Did he posess the ability to change the future?Well, i don’t think it would be fair if I answer these intriguing questions.It would be far more satisfying if you see the scintillating flick yourself.
5 REALLY GOOD REASONS TO SEE THE MOVIE
1.The best thing about the movie is the direction.I guess to make you believe in the fascinating ideas behind and throughout the flick takes some doing and it has been done with the utmost precision here.
2.Having watched Keanu in’The Chain reaction’, ’The Devil’s Advocate’, ’Speed’, ’The Matrix’ and now here one’s got to wonder how flexible and able as an actor he is.As much as his super abilities in the movie?i wonder.
3.The special effects , music effects and the graphics affected in the movie is simply unbelievable, will push you to the limits of your imagination.
4.Its not all Neo here like the first part suggested, his team members have a much more active role here which makes it all the more interesting and unpredictable.
5.Last, but not the least, its got an ending no one would guess, something most people crave for in a movie. So, to be honest I wouldn’t even dream of missing this cracker of a movie with spellbinding action, a twist and turns wala plot, and excellent direction.Do not make the mistake of depriving yourself of it.
