The journey of Neo is coming to an end. Now its enough, he must get what he is searching for. He has realized his full potential but why he needs to use his powers ? .. to save Zion ?.. or to find the purpose of being here ? This last installment of Matrix Trilogy tries to answer all these questions.
What is The Matrix ?
Before going to this movie make sure that you have seen and understood first two parts. Let me tell you that the Matrix series is not about the special effects, its not about the black suits and night glasses.. its something beyond your thoughts. It has something to do with the way you look at your life.
The movie tells the story of war between the man and the machines, and leaves you with many choices.. depending upon how you have lived your life till date, you interpret the movie.
And believe me it is not that complicated.
Enter the matrix
Matrix Revolutions unfolds with the bootstrap procedure to wage a war against the machines. But the protagonist Neo is in a different state of mind. He finds himself lost between the two worlds.. between the real world.. Zion and the Machine City i.e, The Matrix.
In less than a days time the existence of Zion would be erased by the machines. Zion only has handful of worriers with high desire to survive. They can not relay on miracles.. but there is one man who believes in miracle, who believes in Neo.. Morpheus.
Neo leaves Zion with Trinity to find the source while rest of the crew prepares to defend Zion. Agent smith succeeds in getting the oracle out of the picture. The time strikes, machines eclipse Zion. Their attack turns out to be too huge to handle for Zion. One after another their worriers start to fall. And on the other side, Bane (Ian Bliss) attacks Neo and trinity, a Zion fighter brainwashed by Smith. Unfortunately Neo looses his eyes in the battle.
Will he be able to reach the source? For how long Zion will be able to stand on their feet against the powerful machines? Will the negative twin of Neo, Agent Smith get succeed in his evil purpose? Find the answers of these questions in the movie itself.
The bugs
I must admit that The Matrix Revolutions misses on some basic things. First, there are no philosophical talks throughout the movie, this may disappoint die hard Matrix fans. Then, except the nightclub fight sequence, movie doesnt have anything spectacular. Movie looses its pace at times. Some characters from Zion get unnecessary attention. Also, there is very little use of super powers by Neo. At last I’ll say that, these points matter only when you are going to watch an action movie, they really don’t matter when the movie is the Matrix !
Everything that has a Beginning has an End.
The greatest trilogy of all times leaves many questions unanswered. As I said its upto you, how you interpret the movie. For the die-hard Matrix fans, of course it’s a not-to-be-missed film. And I’m sure by the time this review appears on this website, most of you have already seen the movie.
Lets pray for the next installment of The Matrix.
