MTR han...
Good food? Yes you will get it here. But can’t live up to the HYPE
Good service? Oops what service!
Clean food? This is rather a tricky question. Well I can put it this way “ they serve not very clean food in a very clean plate, with a dirty interior!”
The food was Ok. But Ok is not what I expected from the folklore I have been hearing about this place. I bet you can get better dosa from other cheap and rather clean hotels.
Food is quit expensive comparing even santhi sagar or sukh sagar and trust me its not worth it. After waiting for almost half an hour or more minimum! For a single seat, I find it to be a pretty bad bet for my relaxed evenings.
The interior is classic all right, but been spoiled by rather clumsy molded red chairs all along and cleanliness is a question. I believe even the spider web is a classic here!
Server’s need some training and should be taught some manners. MTR surely failed to teach their staff “customer is boss”. They are rather rude and untidy and I was shocked when my server asked me to pay for the dosa when I was halfway eating!
I should particularly mention that my trip to the MTR’s was made miserable by the whole staff right from the parking attendants.
If you want to have some good dosas you can rather go to places like Davengare Butter Dosa or the place you know the best. But MTR, I will recommend only for those who want adventures and some bad experience! I will rather call my fear for the place “MTR-phobhia”
