My baby was checked into this hospital twice with congestion and apnea issues. Dr Manish and Dr Gupta were excellent and made me feel confident having my sick baby in their care. They were honest about everything. Most of the nursing staff were lovely. Some a little unwilling to have a westerner involved in the baby’s feeds etc. But good.
The billing and admin section is horrendous. The paperwork and staff there are officious and inefficient. I can see it is the outdated system they have in place, and the lack of staff and booths that create the bulk of the issues. Maybe Indian people are used to this but they should demand better service, especially if you are trying to check-in or want to get back to your sick family member. Having to push to get served for 40 minutes at these times is extra stressful.
Overall, I was happy to have my baby there. I put this down to the doctors.
I also made a contribution to a poor families bill who had a baby pass away in the NICU ward. It took me four meetings to get a decent receipt and I am still not sure my $1000 went to the grieving family I intended it for. Again the admin staff were useless. I was trying to help someone out and they treated me like I was a hassle to deal with expecting a correct receipt.
