We went there for the cancer treatment of my mother. Well believe me the hospital is good but they loot you like anything. I am writing this review so that nobody goes through the trauma that we have been. The doctors might be good but they are greedy.
The treatment was going on in Mumbai under Dr Advani, who had asked us to take her home as there were no chances of her surviving. However, this acclaimed doctor of Max, Saket- who claims to have treated Yuvraj Singh said that the treatment is very much possible and should be done. She would be healthy again.
Well believe me none of us believed but its such an emotional issue that you get ready to drain all your savings and even sell property to see your loved ones, once again with you. She was admitted to Max Saket- where this doctor convinced us to go for an operation. Operation at this stage was like killing the patient but we realized this only in retrospect.
There they say like- "Aaj jama karo 4.5 lakhs else doctor ja rahe hain Singapore and then surgery wouldn’t be possible for next 8 days. And looking at the condition she wouldn’t survive till then." We did what they said. They clocked a bill of 13.5 lakhs in 12 days stay and gifted us the dead body. It isn’t that she could have been saved otherwise but she would have been alive for some more days and spent some good moments.
This doctor had known it all but he along with his team had only looted us and played with our emotions. There’s no accountability for hospitals in our country. These hospitals need to maintain there 5 star infra and hence loot the ordinary people like anything. Later when we discussed the issues with our Mumbai doctors after the damage was done they too mentioned that such acts are disgrace to medical profession.
My advice - The decisions are difficult but be reasonable and sound and do not get into the trap of doctors. They are there only to clock a humongous bill and gain a hefty share of that. These doctors and hospitals are only built for money and nothing else.
