Myself Rajat Sharma, unluckily policy holder of Maxnewyorklife, policy no. 748871001, gave application on 8th july, 2010 to switch fund from secure fund-100% to super growth fund-100%. Simultaneously I have requested in written to redirection fund(super growth fund-75%, growth fund-25%) also. The reason was: In secure fund, my money was not secure, even though it is only 25% of my total allocated money. You can check my statement, my first allocated amount in secure fund is INR 4871, after 11 month, 28th may, 2010, it has come down to INR 4802 and inflation is 11%, lost everything in this secure fund. The funny thing is that only Maxnewyork made money in this by charging ADMN, for what. I know this is not a substantial amount, but It s my duty to wake you up with a good musical sound. I got a good benefit in super growth fund, so I wanted to transfer the secure fund-100% to super growth fund.
This switching/redirection application was submitted in maxnewyork Jayanagar Branch, Bangalore on 8th july. But I called to customer care on 18th july, and came to know that both my request has been declined. They told a reason that dynamic fund allocation(in proposal form, column 9) has been tick marked by me. I did not have problem with ticking, but there should be option, quick option, to disable this option. Since, dynamic fund allocation has been tick marked, I have to fill form to disable this option, when, customer care gave date, that just before 5 days of premium date(28th june, 2011), so now I could not do anything with my fund, no switching, even max newyork give 4 to 6 times free switching. But I cannot do because I ticked mark and now I have to bear, I have to suffer. I know this dynamic fund allocation can be beneficial for me, but just want to know, why I can not make it disable by online RIGHTNOW, why should I wait for one year and again and again for every filling form, I have to come to your office just like grandfather roaming around post office in 1947. The funny thing, I can pay premium by online, so nice facility by maxnewyork for collecting money. If you are smart in collecting money then why not in giving facility online or by call to customer care. For small changes you say come to your office. And sometimes is said that “ Mr. Policyholder, you can do this after one year only, just hand cuffed and see your fund in secure fund getting unsecured. No switching, no redirection”. Any way being a good man, I will make reminder in mobile, that just before 5 days of next premium I will come to your office, but as a bad man I will not recommend anyone maxnewyork, because I have policies of ICICI, KOTAK also giving better facility than MNYL.
