Its got gr8 product, wonderful jingle, a famous cricketer and its well shot-all these but still a super flop ad. y? because of the TIMING. timing is a very important part of the ad and as crucial. but these people hardly seem to care. allow me to explain
mayur ads are usually shown during a cricket match which though might sound a good idea but on a second though is the main factor for its failure.when india playz a match it usually start with either an early-to-go sehwag or the merciless-super-timer sehwag
if the match starts with the former then its easy to explain y the ad doesnt do. cause after his wicket if we see him in that ad we think, what an idiot, he doesnt care about cricket, he is just in to make money! . but y does it face failure even when the latter starts the match ? the reason is simple. when sehwag is hitting runs like anything y would u want to run around in suit from girls. u just want to see him bat and curse the ad walas for delaying.
thus mayur ad have been a complete failure plus it has no concept and isnt that attractive to watch either with sehwags strange dialoge delivery an professional model would have been much better choice or they should air the ad only on private channels and not during cricket matches.as donald trumph has said-TIMING IS EVERYTHING IN BUSINESS
