I am surprised McAfee calls itself a software company. I had the misfortune of installing this software on my Win 7 laptop. The first thing I noticed that my PC became super sluggish after installing it. Checked the system resources and I/O-behold my CPU was clocking 100% usage non-stop. The McAfee real-time scanning executable was siphoning away CPU cycles from all my other programs and made the entire PC slow. Worst, it the constant 100% CPU cycle was running my CPU at 91 Degree Celsius
It almost burnt my laptop. And what did I get in return? My PC still got infected and
my computer was slowed dramatically. Many things just would almost not even work. It found no problems, even tough I had no other such program on the computer
