What began as my all-time favourite childhood restaurant, has changed into somewhere I would never enjoy eating again. I have suffered what felt like terrible food poisoning on about every second visits, on the last dozen or so visits, until I had to boycott eating there all together.
Its not that I dont like the taste, infact I enjoyed their chemically enhanced sameness that you can experience almost anywhere in the world. How is it possible that the meat in Toronto Canada, tastes exactly the same in Sydney Australia?? Its the chemicals. The fries particularly are synthetic, the onions are well not even really onions are whats done to them.

That was as recent as 1998!
Their food contains parts and pieces of head, feathers, guts, rot, feces, mice, insects, filth and disease and chemical flavoring all mixed together. This is common to all mass produced food, not just McDonalds.
Its not just the big golden arches though. Jack-in-the-box for example the fast food company made many people ill in America with e.coli poisoning, and there is e.coli in a lot of meat, but the particular strain is what we have to be concerned about, E.coli that causes HUS or Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome, basically bloody and fatal diarrhea, especially in children, these are the strains of e.coli that are becoming stronger because of slaughter methods, and the conditions in which our livestock live.
The condition of which the livestock is raised and then slaughtered is unbelievable. Chickens are raised 25, 000 together in a coup with only 8 inches of personal space each, easily contributing to disease and stress. When animals are raised in diseased conditions under stress the kind of meat produced is hardly close to quality. Cows are fed hormones and antibiotics, in turn these antibiotics cause us as humans to help pathogen and viruses to become more virulent. We have created certain niches for pathogens that were not a threat before, while at the same time becoming more susceptible to viruses and disease ourselves.
The quality of food that you put into your body has a direct result on your health, on the health of your family and friends. McDonalds is full of chemicals, hormones, antibiotics, steroids, feces, food pathogens, you name it, and on top of it, who serves it to you? Ah yes, teenagers, and from what I know about them I can most definitively state I dont want teenagers touching my food with glove free hands at least.
My recommendation is that if you want to enjoy a nice meal, with your family at a nice family restaurant, than you go to some small Mom and Pop place were they take a little more time, and put a little more care and preparation into what theyre serving and what you and youre kids are eating! They probably need the dough, and youll feel a lot better for it and the end of the day.
