Has Big Mac lost it?
Answer would be most probably yes looking at the current scenarios at
Mac. This review is about Mcdonalds Kalyaninagar outlet in Pune,
however since mouthshut does not have this category forced to write it
here.
Me and my family are die hard Mcdonalds fans and almost visit Mcdonalds
atleast 3-4 times a month. As my 4 yr old kids results were out he
pestered me to go to Mcdonalds and we went to the outket which is
nearby to my house. We had our food and spent close to about an hour at
the outlet.
Our order was a McAloo Tikki value meal and other stuff like french fries Mcveggie burgers and stuff.
When we were done with the food we left the outlet and my kid was
finishing the coke glass and by luck he opened the lid to down his
glass. He saw something floating and showed to me, to my horror I saw
some floating foreign particles in the glass which I suspect were
worms. My first reaction was to call the store and inform them, after
shouting at the person who took the phone a manager came on the phone
and heard me with no interest. His only reaction was we will send
someone to you, send us the glass. At which point I blasted him right
and forward and bought him to his senses to which he said he will come
to my house and pickup the glass.
Guys wondering why I called them is bcoz I was already on my way home and did not want to turn back again.
Now this manager comes home just mumbles something and thrusts a phone
to talk to his restaurant manager which I do. Now this restaurant
manager is a sleepy guy who give me a lecture on how this can never
happen and stuff like that . He just says I will call u in the morning
which never happens. After which this guy leaves and thats it I don’t
receive any call from the outlet as well.I beleive this guys would be
busy in removing all the traces.
In the morning I get a call from the PR department of Mac, this lady
tries to handle the situation and after much discussions I decide to
handover the glass to them. After the glass is handed over it is
supposed to go to the lab but now I get a response that the glass is
empty and nothing much can be done about this.
The objective off the entire scenario here is that even guys like mac
are not very serious about stuff like this and **less said about cokes
reputation here in India the better. It is nothing new to find worms in
Coke Is it?*
Mistakes may happen but there is a way to tackle the situation which I guess Mac has not trained its managers for.
Macdonalds high Street Phoenix
Even after this incident My faith in Mac still stands and I go to Mac
at Phoenix when I am in Mumbai. Being a weekend the store is packed.
Now this guys are serving all the menu items in the restaurant but
without lettuce, now the common sense would be if you do not have one
ingredient of a product you stop serving that product but no not at
Mac. they are serving all the products without lettuce and charging the
same. I bet they will never do this in the US of A!
Now after having a Veggie burger without lettuce I decide to have a
cold coffee and this guys fail me again. Cold coffee is served warm and
whats the reason given? No reason. I ask the manager dont you serve
coffee cold? he simply smiles and says I will put ice buss no
apology nothing .
I hope mac guys read this review and drill some sense in the manager of the respective stores.
