Me Pan Sachin Movie Review
As against the critics and the viewers believing the movie to be surfaced around the life story of India’s cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar in any way, as believed to be when one gets to get a glance at the poster with the Lead Actor Mr Swapnil Joshi wearing a blue coloured helmet, the film features a rural boy who is willing to play cricket for India at the iconic Lord’s Stadium in London.
This movie is written and directed by the first-timer Shreyas Jadhav and suggests that the young boy becomes a successful player only to leave the game later, with the intention to make a comeback. The comeback shines in his eyes when his son takes part in a cricket tournament at the taluka level.
This movie is taggedDo not Stop Chasing Your Dream. It showcases strange happenings in the life of dreams of a villager as he goes about life chasing his dreams.
This film also marks the fantastic debut of ‘Pune Rap’ fame Marathi rapper King JD aka Shreyash Jadhav who is one of the writers of the films. It is worth noting that the theme has already been explored in Hindi cinema through films like Patiala House(2011) and Sultan(2016).
One of the pitfalls is that the actor doesnt look young, even in the scenes that he is supposed to. However, the fact that he 14 kgs to get into the character which is a great sign of his perfection and dedication towards every film he takes on.
The movie leaves the viewers with the inspirational message that the game should be lost, otherwise life, and not the last phase. It is amazing as to how Sachin is still looked upon as much and his aura remains despite having retired from the sport.
