I spent 2 nights 3 days in a newly opened hotel in Ooty known as Meadows Residency. I was little reluctant to book this hotel as no reviews, new Place and absolutely no idea how this resort would turn out to be. However, since other places were booked to its capacity hence I decided to go for it. I booked the Pearl rooms with a decent rate / day and the rooms were pretty decent. Since I went in December hence I expected 24 Hrs HOT water and to my surprise I was very much happy on this front as not even a single time I have to crib about the water not being HOT with the Front desk. Best part of this Hotel is the Location. Its 5 minutes walk from the Busy Charring cross junction on Coonor Road . Botanical garden, Philomena church and local shopping stores were within a stone throw distance. Best part was, I did not have to take my car every time I needed to go out as I could find everything nearby. Only thing is since the Hotel is new probably the staff is little under trained when it comes to answering the room service. For e.g: I ordered a cuppa tea and it took me almost 45 minutes for a single cup. I think there’s room for improvement in this area . Otherwise everything was fine and certainly one can think about this Hotel. Another advantage is that its very cheap as compared to other places in Ooty.
