This is reference to the heart surgery of my father(aged 60 years). Two years ago he had a check-up in Chennai, wherein he was advised for CABG(by-pass surgery for heart). Since I am residing at Gurgaon, I started exploring options for hospitals in Delhi/NCR.
Some referred me MAX Saket, some Fortis and some Medanta. I choose Medanta as it appeared to be a big name equipped with all latest medical facility and also for the fact that it was nearer to my location.
Well without making it much lengthy review I would like to say that I am very glad that I made a wise decision.We faced no problem in either getting him admitted or during his stay in the hospital before and after surgery. The staff who interacted were also so very helpful in addressing to us whatever we inquired.
Yes we did face a little problem in getting approval of the TPA(since I got the surgery done through my Company insurance). But then all’s well that ends well. The end to end cost stood at rs. 2.6 lacs! I am really very thankful to all the staff members of Medanta .He is now keeping good health.
