“Meet the Parents” – PG-13
The much anticipated release onto video and DVD is finally here.
Ben Stiller heads this cast as Greg Focker. He wants to ask his live-in girlfriend, Pam (Teri Polo), to marry him. Before he can do this he must ask Pam’s ex-CIA, cat obsessed father, Jack Byrnes (Robert DeNiro), his permission first.
Greg and Pam make the trip to her parent’s house for her sister’s wedding. Greg’s luggage gets lost with the engagement ring inside of it. This was just the first of many mishaps that happen to Greg. He gets caught in lies to Jack and Jack doesn’t like liars.
The movie is all about these mishaps. It’s a funny film that makes you happy to have the in-laws you do! Everyone in the film calls Greg by his last name of Focker. You can imagine the jokes with that name in it.
“Meet the Parents” was written by Greg Glienna and Mary Ruth Clarke. The direction was done by Jay Roach who also directed the “Austin Powers” movies.
The movie was a laugh a minute. Ben Stiller is hysterical as is Robert DeNiro. I don’t want to give away too much of this film by telling all the jokes made. It had a simple plot with a lot of comedy. I would recommend this movie to anyone who asked.
Enjoy!
