Akash Puri son of Puri jagannadh introduced with this film. although Purijagannadh recent movies floped at boxoffice . this film raising expectations with trailer. lets see whether puri bounce back with film or he scored another flop at the boxoffice?
Plot: Roshan( Aakash puri) is always had dream to join in indian Army. One day a Pakisthani Girl Afreen(Neha shetty) comes to hyderabad to study engineering. roshan helps afreen to pursue higher studies and they start liking each other. Roshan comes to know that Afreen Past life is real. during the 1971 indo-pak war they have been saperated circumstances in there past life . what happens in the past? how they are united in the present different countries.why they could not fuilfil their dreams in the past life? what is the connection he has with her is the rest of the story.
Performance: Akash puri has been acting from a long time as a child artist. he makes a decent effort with Mehbooba. despite his age and body didn’t suite to soldier role. his acting is quite natural.
this is his best debut as lead actor. Akash is good in emotional scencs. on the other hand Neha shetty is good in her role. she looks beautiful and does well in her complex role.Murali sharma, sayaji shindey are adequate. others didn’t make any impact.
Music: Music by sandeep chowta are bad. none of the songs register in audience mind. but his background music is very good .
CInematography: Vishnu sharma did fabulous job with camera. he captures the Himalayas and indo- pak border is terrific.
Analysis: Puri jagannadh who was deliverd superhit films in the past lose his grip. one of the biggest draw back for the movie is there is no chemistry between lead pair.yet another irritating factor is india- pakistan rivalry has been dragged in the 2nd half . the entire pakisthan episodes are quite boaring.
once the story of previous birth has been revealed. from then onwards.the film is too artifical and boaring. the stretchy climax tests the patience. Puri jagannadh direction lacks punch and there is no wow factor.
he must appreciated for not insert and cheap comedy tracks and vulgar dilaouges. overall Mehbooba is another failure for Puri jagannadh . if puri intention was to prove that his son can became good hero then he has achieved it but for the audience the movie makes a utterly boaring watch. neither the love scencs are war episodes create intrest .Puri jagannadh holds interest till interval block later screenplay drags too much.
first half is average 2nd half picks up impressively but towards the climax the movie goes down the hill.
