I read the famous "Shiva Trilogy" few months back and got this wonderful opportunity to write a review on it on this platform. I must say Amish Tripathi played a great gamble by stepping in the Indian markets when writers like Chetan Bhagat and Ravinder Singh are ruling the hearts of young India, Youngistan being a large segment of customers in the markets. Also, the theme which he chose to write is quite amazing and the way he has twisted the story, without loosing the actual essence is worth impressive.
One major part that I loved about the book is that it does not involve anything which drags us away from the original Shiva story that we know, and also at the same time he has given a new feel to it. The way Amish has described Shiva is mind blowing. All the chapters are well organized and written. Never during reading the story did I find anything out of place and out of order. Amish has very well drawn lines between all of Shivas qualities like - Passionate Lover, great leader, strong headed, Powerful, and a believer of Karma.
All the characters mentioned in the story are very well thought of and described too. Like I earlier mentioned, Amish has given a little twist to the story of his own, but this twist is given keeping in mind the likes of readers of this generation. Each page of the book keeps you engaged and hung to the book to such an extent that you just cant leave the book, and eventually finish reading it. Also, like other famous authors, Amish has been generous enough, not to maintain a specific target audience, but keep his books open to readers of all ages. I bought the books myself, and my mom also read it after me. Now the books are with my grandmom…wow Amish, your books have got great readers! I congratulate him for his success.
Great writing, great imagination, great skills eventually making mindblowing story. I recommend this book to everyone. Must read Amish Tripathi.
