An Enchanting Journey

Memoirs always leave you feeling like you just underwent a series of monologues.

Its when you read the memoirs a young girl from a small fisherman village in Japan, that you feel like your truly experiencing her struggle, her confusion, her pain, her loneliness, her first love, her first friendship-her journey, That in a way becomes your journey.A journey from a little girl to Japan’s most vouched for Geisha.

Like ’Alice in wonderland’, everything takes a certain mystical form, You become part of an exploration into the enchanting world of Geishas, Tea ceremonys, Kimonos, Okiyas, Danas, the unspoken as well as the spoken rules of this world.

The Beauty of the book lies in its very tasteful, at the same time very innocent (A fine combination) descriptions. The kinds that leave a smile on your face and a very vivid image in your mind.

It’s not just a book, Its an experinence one must take for all its worth.

After reading this book. It left me wanting to know more. A sequel is what I was hoping for and still am.
