Women are baffling? women say men are!

This book is one of most interesting and useful books I gave read .It is a must read for all the men and women of this world about to enter into a relationship , or those who want to make their relationship trouble free and smooth.

Those men who have found women baffling, unpredictable, ununderstandable, and those women who have found men moody, unresponsive, insensitive and selfish….can very well aprreciate this book and find solutions.

It has come as a revelation to me that though men and women use the same language, same words and same sentences…but what they say and what they mean is very different!

There is so much of difference between men and women in their thinking styles, approach, communications and articulation that as if these two species are from two different planets!That’s the reason for the title which is very apt albeit exaggerated, but you appreciate it once you understand the underlying theme of the book.

Through innumerable and examples and mock dialogues (which sometimes look repetitive and monotonous), the author has explained very lucidly what men say, what they convey, what they want to say, and what a women makes makes out of it in her own perspective. Similarly there are examples of communications of women with men, and how men interpret the same.

The basic differences between men and women are;

  1. When women air their views, men mistakenly offer solutions where none are needed, all that the woman wants is a patient hearing.

  2. Women offer unsolicited advice and direction as part of their nurturing nature, and men mistake it for domination and control and resents it.

  3. Under stress, men pull away and ponder silently, women take it as an insult.

  4. Men are motivated when they feel needed, women when they are cherished. The way they speak, very often flattens the very purpose and goal.

  5. In emotional world of dimensions, men move horizontally…in and out of cave, whereas women move vertically …up the wave and down the depths.

  6. 6.Men are like rubber bands, and women are like waves.

  7. Men want trust, acceptance, and appreciation whereas women want caring, understanding, and respect.

  8. Arguments start not because of what you say, but how you say it and what you imply.

  9. All the differences can be solved if only men and women have a decoder which is able to decode the real meaning of what the other is saying, a translation is needed.

  10. If men and women understand the basic translation technology, communications will be precise, purposeful and fulfilling.

All in all, this is an excellent and useful book that can help men and women understand each other better, overcome communication barriers, modify behavioural traits…and ultimately achieve a better understanding of each others perspective towards a peaceful, harmonious and meaningful relationship.

Ever since I have read the book, I have started using the techniques, and believe me it works!
