I had a chance to see acd/vcd/mp3 discman with excellent features that too
at throw away price!.
a) it is chinese made . brand name is SIGN. there are 10-15 varieties in that
but they are all same in side I presume but for the style outside
b) the cost is 850(with checking)/825(without checking). that is the upper cap for
your info. this is at indore market
c) it supports vcd/audio cd/mp3/picture cd (jpeg)
c_1) I will not mention all other features but it supports all you think like 9 windows,
intro, pal/ntsc and what not! ( zoom I am not sure ! but look in their site)
d) it is also reading scratchy cd
e) it has both ac adaptor and battery option (2 pen cell). if you put rechargeable
cells you can recharge them while hearing the music (while playing the player)
f)for picture cd keep all jpeg in your root directory
g)for mp3 it supports even directory browsing which my 18+ k panasonic cd
system does not!
h)I will not recommend you to drop but accidentally I dropped it from say 6feet
and it is working!!
i felt like writing this with 2 purposes. I am amazed after it is working normally
even after the fall. secondly I am amazed at it’s performance at that price 850!!

NOTE: this unit is purchased few days back only. Though I do not foresee

we (our friends) had purchased about <25 pieces alltogether.
did not hear any problem as such. I usually hang it near my bed
(like I did with my walkman) connected to ampli speakers and played
it through out night in (random songs mode) in low volume. did not
complain

at present model come with audio+video put into one socket.
recharging mode is changed. you have to remove the disk
and then it will charge.
