It is a daily ritual to make tea in the evening and while sipping on it, switch on the television to watch Mere Angane Mein. There is a clash of thought-process and way of life between the old and new generation. Amma ji is an old lady who has had the keys of the house since forever. With the arrival of his Grandson’s newly wed wife Ria, she feels her dynasty is threatened. She goes to crazy extent to get the new girl with modern point of view out of the house. After failing in all her attempts, she has resided to her last resort. On the other end is Ria, who is always trying to persuade Amma ji and show her that she is not bad. She is doing everything in the interest of the family but Amma ji’s ego is too big and she turns a blind eye towards Ria’s goodness.
Amma ji and Ria are the two lead characters.The show’s funniest person is Sarla, acted by Ananya Khare, who is Amma ji’s daughter. Her antiques and tantrums are hilarious. It is a middle class family residing in a small town and several things shown really happen in such families.
Krutika Khan acts as Amma ji and Ekta Kaul plays Ria’s role. Both the actors have given their best and it is visible on the screen.
