As a parent trying to reskill, time is my biggest issue. I did Meritshot’s Software Development program in the evenings after my kids went to bed. Some days I could only do 30 minutes, some days I got a good 2-3 hours in.
What work for me is that the program does not assume you are a full-time studentyou can pick up where you left off, and the mentors answer questions without making you feel dumb.
It is not easy, but now I feel like I have a foundation in coding that is real, not just theoretical. I plan to continue learning but this gave me a solid start.
