If you are a student or employee at Meritshot; do connect with me, I will tell you the reality.
Over the last few weeks, Ive been going through one of the most mentally draining experiences of my career. After leaving my previous organisation Meritshot, because my personal ethics didnt align with certain practices, I am now struggling just to receive clear information about my Full & Final settlement.
Instead of support, Ive been facing intimidation, mental pressure, and even a legal noticewhich I have already replied to calmly and professionally. I never expected that simply asking for my rightful F&F would turn into emotional harassment and threats.
Why I actually left matters the most.
I chose to step away because I could not participate in practices that I personally believe mislead students in the name of job guarantee and 100% placement.
My values could not allow me to say things I dont believe in. I have always aimed to build trust with learners honestly, and when those ethics were challenged, I made the difficult decision to walk away.
What I witnessed at this EdTech Meritshot:
Over-promised job guarantee or 100% placement claims
Hidden or unrealistic eligibility conditions
Students pushed into loans or high fees based on guaranteed jobs (Bajaj Finserv, Varthana, ShopSe Digital Finance)
Refund policies designed so that most students can never actually claim them
Fascinating marketing crafted only to fool learners
Many freshers trust them, hoping for a better career, but often end up disappointed, financially stressed, or feeling misled.
Students should not be misled by false promises.
I have all the necessary evidence regarding the same.
I was being pressured to:
Push misleading job guarantee promises
Convince learners with false commitments
Show agreements/commitments that did not match actual deliverables
Managers connecting learners to individuals pretending to be Meritshot alumni, claiming high-package offers, just to fool learners
The real struggle started here:
No agreement or contract with the organisation
Not responding to my emails or follow-ups
Threatening me with legal action
Trying to mentally pressure me (sending me a legal notice) simply for asking for what I rightfully earned
Threatening me with more legal notices and action
This is the story of many employees and students.
If this post reaches even one person who is going through something similar, I want you to know: youre not alone.
Uncountable learners like you are getting fooled every day.
