I have been working as a Data analyst for a while but always felt limited because I did not know how big data systems really work. Meritshot’s Data Engineering program helped me understand ETL, distributed systems, and some cloud basics.
What stood out is that they mix short theory with hands on projects, so you can see where things break. Some tools were tricky at first but the mentors explained the ’why’ behind them. I’m now using some of what I learned to automate reports at work and plan to apply for proper data engineering roles next quarter.
