I should have read the reviews on Mouthshut before making a trip on Meru.
We had booked a cab from Ramesh Nagar Metro station to NDLS.(New Delhi). The distance in google maps and other maps(GPS) shows that the distance should not be more than 10 kms. So cost should not have been more than Rs 250.(Rs 20 per km and 50 Rs) . We landed up paying Rs 380.
The extra 130 came in from the driver taking a longer route. This was clearly evident from the GPS google maps that I had in my Nokia phone. Despite telling the driver, he acted very rude, and kept taking the incorrect route.
We take such call cabs in the expectation that we don’t get cheated, however, if these cabs cheat, then it is better that we take the local cabs/autos.
The cab itself was very poor, the interiors were dirty and had a stink.
I would not recommend Meru Cabs to anyone.
