Im from Hyderabad and a regular customer of MERU.
Recently I had a bitter experience due to which I missed my train. I had to travel to Chennai by train on 28th Nov. I had booked MERU from my house to Secunderabad railway station 24 hrs earlier. The booking was accepted, Ref no. 23096579. I also received the Cab details before 20 min. The driver name K SHIVA SHANKAR, Cell- 9848113654. CAB No: AP28VA1432.
The horror started when the cab did not arrive. It was scheduled to arrive at 4:45 pm. I started calling him at 4:40pm. But he did not pick up the phone. I kept calling him for next 20 min but no use. He would not pick up his phone.
Then I started calling the call center. But that was also of no use. They said "The driver is not picking the phone we are sorry." What the heck? I requested for another cab but they said itll take another 30 min to arrange a different cab but that also not guaranteed. Then I tried my best to arrange an auto. But I could not. Finally I got an auto at 6 pm. But by that time it was too late. There was huge traffic on the way and by the time I could reach the station the train had left.
This is a lesson for me. Going forward, Im going to book in other cabs. These people are shameless people. Im going to write to his CEO. Lets see if he does something.
Moral of the story is MERU is highly unreliable, avoid if you can.
