I used to be a staunch believer and advocate of Meru in Hyderabad, where I used Meru EVERY time I had to go to the airport and return. Meru there was fast, efficient, reliable and trustworthy. But Meru’s service in Bangalore and Mumbai is AWFUL to say the least!! I booked Meru from Bangalore online, and the cab did not turn up until I called Meru on the phone 5 mins after my deadline expired.
The cab was then 20 minutes late. I tried booking Meru online from Mumbai (because I was 18th the queue on the phone and had to wait half an hour on the phone before the Meru executive disconnected me!!), and the cab NEVER turned up, nearly causing me to miss my flight. (I called Meru in Mumbai at 5AM from my number several times, and each time I was disconnected just before my turn arrived, after waiting for 20 minutes or more). I am thoroughly disappointed with Meru’s service in Bangalore and Mumbai.
With long telephone waiting times, nonworking online booking (it simply doesn’t work - Meru, STOP FALSELY ADVERTISING IT!) and unreliable cab service, I see very little difference between Meru and any other shoddy, third-rate, fly-by-night cab service.
