This is my first review. Thanks to Meru cabs who forced me to write the review so that I can help others by telling them "Don’t Rely on Meru".
I booked the cab for 03-Jun-2013 at 8:00 AM for Yeshwantpur railway station. As I heard earlier from my some of the friends that if distance is less then Meru cabs wont come.. At last moment they will cancel the booking.. But keeping that in mind, from my place Yeshwantpur is 32km and expected them to come on time.
Woke up early on 3rd June and was waiting for message from Meru cabs for driver details. Waited till 7:50 AM and then called the customer care guys, from here torture of Meru cabs started.
Customer care guys told me, "Right now there is no cab availability at your area so we are unable to send the cab, but if you can wait for 15 mins, we can divert the cab to your route"
I was quite OK with their suggestion, and warned them it should not be delayed more than 15 mins. We came out from my house and started waiting for the cab. We waited for more than 15 mins and at last I called customer care guys once again. Call center guys informed me that you will be getting the cab with in 10 mins and sent the driver and cab details.
In that message they wrote booking time as 8:45 AM. After reading the message I was upset and tensed as again I have to wait for more 10 mins and our family had to catch the train at Yeshwantpur.
I called driver and asked him "Boss where are you, Please come fast". But after listening the answer from driver, I was shocked.. He was still 18 km from my place and it will take another 1 to 1.5 hour to reach at my place.
We were not left with the other option, and at last we had to travel from Auto till destination.
At the last moment only we were able to catch the train and that to, we paid the auto rickshaw driver some extra money in order to reach faster.
Don’t these guys having some basic ethics to inform well in advance. So that we can find some other alternatives..???
It was my last booking with Meru and I suggest you guys please "Don’t rely on Meru".
