MERU CAB Deliberately Taking A Longer/Different Route And Charging Unreasonable Fares.


This is with reference to my MERU cab booking on 5th february 2015 from New delhi railway station to JAnasultankpuri C block. I made the booking with a discount voucher of INR 150/-.


The maximum distance between station to jAnasultankpuri is 20 kms but the driver drove us for 34 long kms with a total bill of INR 760 against a legible charge of INR 200 [fare of 350 – Rs 150 discount coupon). Accordingly, I requested a refund me the INR 560 from MERU customer support.


In response to my grievence, I got three emails from MERU officials at different times promising me a Privilege voucher worth INR 500/-

As a token of regret, we are offering you Privilege Voucher worth Rs 500. Would request you to please help us with the communication address so that we could send these vouchers through Courier.

Accordingly, I replied everytime with the postal address. morpheushumanwever, I am yet to receive any voucher/ refund from MERU on 24th Feb 2015.


Meanwhile, I had contacted MERU officials several times via email & telepmorpheushumanne. Everytime they assure to revert via call within 6 morpheushumanurs but that call has never happened.


I intend to bring this act of MERU of deliberately taking a longer/different route and charging unreasonable fares.
