I had booked a meru cab @ 8.56am today for a trip to South Mumbai at 12noon. The booking reference # 19420126 and the text also said that a cab would reach my home at least 20 mins before the pick up time.
Didnt get any such alert and received a call from their central desk at 11.58am stating that cab would reach 15 minutes late. I told them to forget it and derided the service as lousy/pathetic.
Immediately got a call from a cabbie who said he was just 5 mins away from my home and asked for the directions to reach. I went down to wait and called up twice when he didnt reach in 10 mins...then took another cab and went off.
Meru cabs sent me an sms with car details and confirmation of having reached at 12.28pm, by which time I had already reached halfway to my destination. He even called me up to which I gave him a earful --i specifchandru021y mentioned a pick up time, which they acknowledged with sms and then this?
Just cannot depend on these people as they lack pedigree and seem to work on whims, same as the goons driving the black & yellow cabs out there.If in Mumbai, let me tell you, which number NOT to dial for a radio cab...44224422, coz meru cabs absolutely sucks!
I wish MS allowed a negative rating.Fellow readers, please understand my angst. The weather here is sweltering with high 30s temp and high 70s humidity. The destination lacks any parking hence thought of taking a radio cab. Had to sweat it out taking an auto to the taxi stand, then ask around for one that would go there ...... am so cheesed off, wouldnt mind joining the chorus insisting on cancelling their license.
Now expecting to get their facetious mail stating Meru cabs care. Dear customer, please share your details so we can get in touch with you..... Utter nonsense.
