I had hired Meru Cab for Bangalore International Airport on 6th Jan 2010. I forgot my jacket in the Meru Cab and realized after 11 minutes and called the driver Krishna of Cab (KA03 D 4376). The driver was little far from the Airport and demanded min charges of Rs 250 to return to airport and handover the jacket. I agreed to pay the actual amount as per the bill, to which he disagreed and disconnected the phone.
Finally, I had to call their call centre and make a complaint against the driver. The driver did return to the Airport by 9:35 to deliver the jacket but by then I had to complete the security check and board the 10:00 flight to Mumbai.
Though the response from the Customer care has been immediate, but the irresponsible, impolite and greedy behavior of the driver left me totally shocked.
I had also requested Meru Cab to take appropriate action against the driver in my formal complaint on their E mail, but had neither received any response nor heard of any action against the erring driver, even after calling twice on 7th Jan 09. The usual response was that the complaint is still under process.
Suggest to all the Commuters in Bangalore to avoid MERU CABS.
