Meru Cabs Driver Mr. Chennappa -KA53B5314 -(trip 51051644) Arrived for the pickup at Golden Plams, Bangalore on 5th Sep. 2016 . On arrival, I noticed that his Meter Reading was showing Rs.36 and Kilometers traveled 6.9 Kilometers. When I questioned him he gave reset to the meter immediately however Money got deducted from my Paytm account( He was claiming that there is some issue with meter and he will give back my money at the end of the trip). When I saw the receipt in my e-mail I realized that it was Rs.136 ( On his meter the first digit is not working properly - Probably it has been set purposefully to cheat customers) .
Now he disconnected some cables( I guess it may be GPS) and brought me to the destination.
On arrival at destination the meter reading was showing -57( first digit is only -) and he claimed it is Rs. 957 but refused to provide me the printed receipt stating that printer is not working.
I showed him previous days onwards journey receipt for Trip no 51044337 of MERU( while going we have two U turns .In Bannerghatta Road and Tumkur road which will add up to 2KMs extra) for the distance of 45 Kms the charges were Rs.881 - 20% discount totaling Rs. 748 . However while returning for a distance less than that, he is claiming Rs.957 but not ready to provide the receipt( As he disconnected cables and not recorded my trip, I did not get receipt in my e-mail too)
I wrote emails to MERU and followed up with them too but they are not bothered to respond or take action which means they are supporting these fraudulent activities.
( Don’t Rely on them)
Be alert when you take MERU cabs don’t get cheated.
