Here I actually want to tell everyone about the change that linkin park has brought about in my life. At first, I was completely anti-metal, satisfied only with jass, pop and hip-hop. Well basically I don’t confine myself to any particular genre of music, and so my options are kept wide open. But my friends introduced me to Linkin park, and today, to me, it is like cocaine to an addict.
The very first thing that stands out in the band is that it is basically a combination of different types of music - rap by Mike Schinoda, a bit of metal, and to add to that scratches added by the DJ in the band itself, and some superb vocals by Chester. From the beginning I am fascinated by DJs and remixes and scratches and so on. This is not pure metal - and so not all metallica or iron maiden fans are necessarily linkin park fans. But they’re just different, aren’t they ? They give a whole new dimension to new age metal.
Linkin park was basically formulated by the DJ Joseph Hahn (you can listen to his intro in ’’cure for the itch’’ of hybrid theory) and Mike Schinoda. If this information is conflicting, please do comment on the same, because I am not 100% sure. The names of the band members are

It seems that this band was first called ’’hybrid theory’’ and then ’’linkin park’’. The present name is dedicated to a park that the lead singer Chester visited in his childhood. Guys if you have any more information on this band, please please do add it up in the comments section.
