Just to give idea on the incident.My mother due to high BP some blood came out of her nose. So I took her to the local doctor near my home, So he suggested me to take her to the Metro hospital they will check her in detailed manner So he called the hospital in front of me and We left for the hospital.
Now the whole drama started as we reached there, the lady sitting at reception was already aware that we are coming as local doctor already informed it.
My mother was completely fine by the time I mean she was talking to me and was walking properly but the moment I informed the receptionist that XYZ doctor refereed us here for detailed check up, She instantly declared it as emergency and allowed us to meet doctor first as other patient where waiting in queues. Another staff immediately brought Wheel Chair for my mother the moment we entered the doctors cabin he just checked for the note given by local doctor and told need to admit your mother as its severe, I asked him why what happen I was completely worried as it was 10 PM in the night. He said wait senior doctor will answer you just go to next cabin. I staff took my mother to the next cabin as she was sitting on the wheel chair, I followed her.
Now again the senior doctor repeated the same thing but he was well trained he directly asked me to admit my mother in ICU as its severe and need immediate attention, I informed him my elder brother covers my mother mediclaim and so if possible can you give some medicine to control the things for next 30-40 mins so that I will can take her to the Fortis or Holispirit On which he said I can’t even assure for next 5 min Its that risky then without any choice I agreed to admit her in ICU, Now they took my mother to the general ward and just ask her to lay down. I asked why here the staff we need to arrange bed in ICU for your mother I said OK. I asked my mother are you OK dont worry I m here with you to boost her, In her reply she laughed and said I am not able to understand whats going on actually I am very hungry as its 10.30 now. I asked doctor is it OK to feed her now, he denied said once she is admitted we will take care dont worry. I went out and called my elder brother informed him about the entire incident he also asked me to confirm if some temporary medicine can be given for relief, so that we can take her the fortis or Holispirit on which he said seems they are fooling us and looks fishy I also agreed on that, but we cant do anything I said. We have one common freinf who is also a Doctor. I called him and informed him the complete scenario he explained me the blood came out of nose is due to pressure through veins and nothing to worry. your mom is completely normal you can take her home with some basic BP medicine further he also talked to my mother and made her feel more confident.
Now its 11.30 still my Mother in general ward, where the hell is EMERGENCY and where is the doctor who was not able to give 5 mins assurance. I informed the staff I am leaving on which they said sir now all set pls follow us . I firmly said no please let me go. they simply said pls clear the bill and you can leave to my surprise they charged me 2200 for what god knows I was not in a mood to argue anymore.
Thereafter we had good food outside in a near by restaurant and took a OLA to Holisprit Hospital Andheri(E) Now the most importat thing I noticed in Holispirit is the first thing they did is they measured my mother Blood pressure and told she is completely fine nothing to worry and gave some medicine. And we returned home by 2 AM.
At metro the first and foremost thing what they would have also done is to measure her BP but they didn’t even thought about it and was completely busy in there DRAMA which really shock me how they simply trying to fool innocent people.
