Metro a part of the Mid-day, is based on local circulation. It was being offered free initially at reputed shops but now charged for Re.1, aww what an amount!! Anyways, I have written at times to Metro and have found that their journos are so full of enthusiasm. Also they are very polite. As a common man you have the freedom to write about your locality and it is ensured that if ur problem is genuine Metro will carry the news. Only thing is that this is published weekly and hits the stands on Saturday or Monday (I am not sure of the day). Even the smallest news of the neighbourhood is printed which is usually skipped in other large scale papers, which celebrity visited your locality, what the local MLA or MP done lately, almost everything that takes place within the week. Carries columns of locals who are special or different. LOCAL is the biggest word for Metro, they should’ve named I t local rather than Metro. A highly reccomended newspaper to be updated about ur own locality.
