Four months back, I bought a pair of shoes from Metro(Da Vinchi type) worth Rs. 5, 990/-. Just after using a month, I observed some torn parts at three-four places.
I took it to the Dealer from where I bought & he took the pair back conveying of sending the same to Metro Shoes Mumbai for a thorough inspection & stating that Company will replace the pair if it is manufacturing defect. After a fortnights time, I got a mail from their Customer Care Dept. that it is not a manufacturing defect & I have used it while driving car or have kicked a two-wheeler.
I really fail to understand that what are shoes made for? Was Metro expecting me to wear this pair while going to bed or similar? On repeated exchange of mails, they ultimately did not budge & couriered me the pair back by putting some adhesive to fix the torn parts.
I wish to alert all of you to think twice before opting for Metro Shoes. This experience also rectified my myth that whatever is priced high is of a better quality. At least I will never buy even a Rs. 1/- thing from Metro henceforth.
