Having bought three pairs 10 days back from metro Shoes, at Great India Place Noida, I expected them to be of a quality that could be worn for a time more than others. The metallic piece on My wife’s sandal broke off on the second wearing itself.
Being in a scenario where you are at a place where there are influential people around and no chance of repairing or replacing the foot wear, it becomes a humiliating experience.
And my anger was compounded the next day when I went to the shop and the manager says its no big deal, and that these things keep happening. When I am spending close to 800 bucks on a sandal I expect it to last at least a few months. or a few times of wear. if I had wanted a low quality thing I would have gone to Lajpat Nagar. and then not really minded if it broke the second time.
They refuse to replace the sandal or let me buy any other one in its place. They say it will go back and get repaired. I am not looking for a sandal to be REPAIRED when its 2 days old, damn it. I gave the Sandle back to them and told them to keep it or donate it. If this is the service I get, then im afraid they are in for some great publicity. I assure them my relatives and friends are never going to buy from Metro again.
A real disappointing experience to say the least. Does anyone have the email of phone number of their head office. I think its in Mumbai. I would really like them to review how they handle customer complaints. I sent an email to the email address they had but as expected, no response.
