Azhugai (cry) Oli

After watching the episode telecast on 31st May I am forced to rewrite my review.

My advice to those who believe in Joint family set up DO NOT WATCH METTI OLI. This serial’s absurdity reached its height when Rajamma made a hue and cry at the house warming ceremony which was followed by Manickam blindly listening to his mother and beating Saro and Selvam black and blue in front of all his relatives. I do not understand how and human being with self respect will take it. Leave alone Saro. What about Selvam. Doesn’t he have back bone? Though for money I do not know why Chetan and Shanthi Williams agree to do such roles? The director who says in interviews that he is a believer in joint family and that he believes in giving respect to both his parents and in- laws need not stoop too low. In which era he is living? This serial makes a lot of friction in many families in Madras as the mother-in- laws wants to be like Rajamma. The two good in laws - Selvam and Ravi’s father happen to be men. So ultimately the director’s only aim is to paint female characters black - either they are bad or they are spineless idiots. In the present world you can see Saro like characters only in Metti Oli

Thank God Ravi atlast became a human being. Some positive approach(?)

Mr. Thirumurugan pl END your serial
