Day1, hour1:
Sweet talking salesman with promise of completed delivery in 10 days.
Day 1, after advance payment made:
Delivery date allotted 20 days from point of sale.
Customer mildly annoyed but since in no hurry hence accepts the new delivery timed alloted.
Two weeks on shop calls to confirm colour customization. Customer mildly surprised that they are actually going to deliver on time(maybe). Color customization confirmation completed. Within a week customer asked to take a look at finished product before dispatch. Customer pleased that maybe it was not a bad idea to go to them after all. One look at the completed work and disappointment at the colour combo and quality of finish. Yes, our mistake in selection.
Light blue and light pink looks more like light blue and white. No, theprofessionals could not guide us better to the pink tone when we selected it. Finally at anExtra cost colour customization error solution decided.
Customer fully grasping by now professional is the antonym of meuble.
Customer is toldall things being equal delivery date so and so.
Customer calls on indicated delivery date(because customer knows by now they are not what that pretend to be, viz a viz, sharp and pro)
Revised delivery date now changes from day 1 to day 1 evening to day 2 evening to finally day 3 evening. Reason for delay ranges from mundane, paint needs to dry to universe collapsing-carpenter did not have his tools!
Pros: The sales people are polite enough. Though they do get hassled when they figure out that this customer cannot be taken for a ride.
A small lie here, a small lie there. here a lie, there a lie. old mcdonald has a firm. oops! customer losing it as you can see.
Cons: Owner tries to one up the customer indicating how they will deliver when They Will Deliver. Declares pompously that many calls are hardly going to change anything. Indicates in his tone, how they are doing the customer a favor(no owner does not say so but mostly it is what one doesnt say that is clearly heard).
Bottom line- Once you speak to the owner you know that the sales people are actually better(which is not really a compliment). Owner also adds that reviews do not matter when customer indicates that customer regrets not having read the reviews.
Here a damn, there a damn. everywhere we dont give a damn. old mcdonald has a firm. oops!
Current status: Owner commits a date of delivery. Customer writes a very dissatisfied with service review. Bunk bed gives a damn about all the ruckus it is creating and happily cares not where it stays- home or godown.
Quality of wood, customer hopes will be good. Only time will tell. Quality of finish leaves much to be desired in the trial check.
Chances of another purchase from the place once this delivery finally is made- None.
Chances of delivery as promised- Some mysteries of the universe remain. Like why Kattappa killed Bahubali or will Meuble deliver on its commitment.
Old mc donald has a firm. why oh why did I go.
