: Ive been stayingf in Delhi for the last seven months.....
Had heard a lot of sob-stories in college bout delhiites being loud and brash and flashy and ....( my vocab ran out of gas...think of all sorts of negative epithets SO I was really worried when my job bought me 2 delhi..... (Now let my leave my other cribs bout Delhih behind and focus solely on the nighlife heer....)
The first few mnths, I tried all sorts of pubs & discs in Delhi, the hyped ones(Djinns/TGIF)...the supposedly good ones (Buzz/Mojo)...the VFM ones (Volga/ UCH)....
And except for the last 2, didnt really find any1 good (Liked the last 2 solely for their down 2 earth price and the fact they dont screen u for being a non-moneyed-non connected scum of the earth types before they let you in...)
AND THEN A FRIEND TOOK ME TO MEZZ......
Entry: No Bouncers, no uissues with stag entry, no hitches whatsoever...so far so good
Decor: Ok to Good MUSIC: SUnday nite, I got to hear RATM, Sepultura, Disturbed...u get the picture....made mme feel like losing all inhibitions and headbang in front of the speakers...(though I really dunno how many delhiites would like the music...)
Friday Nite, I got to hear Creed, Radiohead, R.E.M., Floyd and Led Zep
Prices: Highly Reasonable....5:30-8:30 is happy hrs (33%off)...we paid 285/- for 4 beers...
Crowd: 3 other tables were occupied...1 College guys group types...2 couples (not the straight-out-of-a-Vogue-page types)
Service: Okay, but the staff was really friendly
All in all, the exp made me feel like I was back in college and was at an insti party rather than a pub in delhi.....(Sadly, the only thing that was missing was theer were just 2 of us instead of the entire college gang:-( )
Its definitely worth a visit, and though not all would like it (typically hard-core delhiites), there would be many whod absolutely love the place...
if only the place were closer to where I live (Gurgaon), id have made the place a regular hang-out.......
