First up is the basic edition of the Mi Piston 3.0 earphones. While the earpods looks rather similar in terms of design to the Mi Piston 3.0, it comes at a markedly lower price tag of Rs 299. Needless to say that the low price means that Xiaomi has cut many a corners.
One of the most apparent ones is the use of rubberised plastics for covering the wires in place of the Kevlar material seen on the Piston 3.0. However Xiaomi has done an impeccable task of using flat intangible wires in place of the cylindrical ones seen on most budget headphones.
In fact it wouldnt be wrong to state that this is the cheapest "branded" earphones which come with a flat cable and a mic.
The new Mi In-Ear Headphones will be replacing their predecessors in the market that were available at the same price. The company notes that the new Mi In-ear Headphones feature an aerospace-grade metal diaphragm with a patented "sandwich" design for superior sound in the mid and bass ranges; third gen balanced damping to improve airflow to delivers proportioned outflows for the front and back chambers; built-in Knowles MEMS microphone for an improved audio quality, low interference and distortion; features Kevlar fiber cable, and Brushed aluminum at the back of the headphones.
It will be available in Space Grey colour and weigh 14 grams. The cable length of the Mi In-ear Headphones is 1.25 metres and has a sensitivity of 98 decibels.
