Wish I could rate them lowest.
I joined microland at the time of recession. I am a MCA graduate and joined there as a technical support executive in the US process assisting networking products.
Frankly speaking I dont know from where to start off. I joined this company holding my dreams to come true like any other career oriented aspirant. First thing we had around 21 days of soft skill and technical training. After the training process we were supposed to be assigned to different processes. The tears of girls keeps importance than your career-yes thats the truth. A girl was sent to ANZ process she shed some tears, and they tried to push me into ANZ. I was determined to go to US process. But they wanted to play with fate. They tossed a coin in the air and heads you go to US process and tails you go to ANZ process. I won again in that and went to US process and another person showed sympathy and empathized by swapping the processes.
SO that was phase I
Now lets see phase II
on the floor, while handling calls if u have problems u call the floor support. few dedicated come to ur help but some only stick to girls. A minor mistake in the call is fatal error. Bad hardware devices, worst resources-infact junks.
Very poor leave regulation. U will never get 2 days off. Dirty shift timings.
They will never give u time to go to loo also. U have to request them. There is nothing called rule book.
Rules keep changing with time and they make sure to explain and provide sufficient proof about ur performance and less login hours. But they never look into them selves. They never realise how much they are paying us. How we are living.
You will be made to work until death!
Management is so poor that I threatened the HR head to get my final settlement amount. The HR( never seemed like one) abolutely worthless. I suffered for everything in this company.
A day came when I intentionally switced off my phone to avoid going for work.
You will be getting meal coupons only for Saturdays and Sundays somewhere around Rs 15/-. Using which you cannot buy nothing good. The medical consultant is not that good. the characters from the keyboard is totally gone. You need to use your typing skills to figure out the position of the characters.
The worst thing about ML is its management cadre. just PATHETIC!. Be it program managers, HR both are headache. You will realize this in less than month. There is no salary hike and they keep changing rules now and then. Very hard to get 2 weekly offs. Excessive pressure - you will not be given time to take rest in between calls.
Earlier the working hour was 8 Hours and 1 hour break so totally 9 hours. And if you fail to give entire 8 hours of shift then your hard earned incentives will be truncated. Not even a penny extra will be given. Also the latest update is that the Productive log in hours from 8 hours have become to 8 and 1/2 so u have to work for additional 1/2 hour.
I definitely dont suggest people working for ML. No my friend there is no career growth.( dont ever think of growing in ML). You will be joining as a TSE into L1 grade. Even if you move to the L2 grade u will again be TSE and if you get promoted to Technical expert again the same job and even if u become a Team Leader again the same job and even if you get into quality analyst the same job. So what is that job-keep answering calls under different situations.
So now I think you have the better picture of career growth. Definitely in interview or in induction programme they will show you a big tree structure of your career growth but that is just a lollipop.
Only when you have no other way left and all the doors for the employment have closed and you are dying of hunger then to save your life Microland may be the solution.
