I purchased it through Amazon In, a couple of years back. It was defective from day one of operation. The screen showed a yellow band about on inch wide. But for this the display and sound were okay. I reported the matter to Amazon in, Micromax and Apptronics(the packing agent). On the eighth day of purchase, I reported the matter to Amazon chat. Several times I requested Micromax to have the TV inspected. Finally, one of the service agents came, switched on the TY and reported that the display panel is defective and nothing can be done. However, they declined to make a certificate in this regard. I was instructed to contact Micromax to get the certificate directly from them. Their customer care center promised sweet solution, but nothing happened. I again contacted Amazon in this regard. They insisted that unless they get a certificate from Micromax, they will not consider the request for replacement or refund. The case is presently under consideration by the CDRF Malppuram Kerala
