I brought this Micromax 352G USB modem about three weeks ago. It is operator non specific USB modem and can be used with any of the GSM operators. Its install software is built in the device itself, so you just plug it in and double click the icon in My computer for installing it. After that you just plug it in and you are ready to go.I have tried it with both BSNL and Airtel. It does not require any settings for known popular operators and does all the settings by itself. You just pop the SIM card in and plug it in and click the connect button. It also shows connection speed and amount of usage, but the usage does not get carried over multiple sessions. I found that if you do not have good 3G signal it is better to go to settings> network mode> and set it to EDGE only mode. This allows the connection to be stable.
Otherwise it would keep switching between 3G and EDGE leading to lost connection during browsing. You can also manage SMS, contacts and check balance (the 123 commands) from the device itself. CONS:When I use BSNL in my IPad and in this device my IPAD is able to show two bars for 3G but this one does not pick it up. But I guess the IPad being bigger would have a bigger antenna. But I wish I bought the WIFI version of Micromax after buying this one.
Overall this is a good quality, no nonsense USB modem which I would recommend for anyone.
