Ax your Micromax - before it kills you!

I bought a brand  new Micromax A 90 S Superfone Pixel for 12, 000 Rs and the phone is a dud from day one. It looks sexy  and feels great in the hand, but that’s no good if it doesn’t work. I have had no end of problems with the phone and will list them for people reading this. Please note this is A REAL EXPERIENCE and is NOT a competitor lashing out, as many may think.

Micromax misery:

  1. Does not start

  2. Does not shut down

  3. Does not charge

  4. Shuts down on its own

  5. Starts in TEST MODE and hangs

  6. Takes Screen shot every time power button is touched

  7. Does not retain charge

  8. Goes blank  even while talking

9 Goes dead for days and then suddenly springs to life

My first two weeks with the phone was living hell.

Then I approached Croma who sold me the phone. They have a 15 day return policy. It was the 16th day. they said ’sorry’ try Micromax’

Micromax has a  7 Day exchange policy. They said we will not replace it, but will repair it.

Please come to our hole -in-the-wall ( on 1st floor actually) Service centre with no name or board, if you can find it and we will see what we can do.

So I go with my dead Micromax a 90s Superfone Pixel phone and they tell me that the morgetboard  phone. and battery both have to be replaced. That is in a BRAND NEW micromax  phone. This is criminal.

Next,  I am told that it will take 2 - 3 weeks at least to fix the phone,  depending on when the parts arrive. I give my phone on 18th January, 2013. I have no idea when I will get it back, if ever.

The   Micromax (dis) service  centre is a sham. They do not even have the decency to answer phones. Their phones are either perpetually engaged or  ring forever and get disconnected.

Moreover, they mentioned that  they had only received a few complaints of faulty motherboard and battery in the Micromax a 90 S, as it was a new model - just launched. However,  many Micrimax phones are brought into the service centre with similar problems.

So, who is Micromax rellay kidding?

Take my advice - Axe that Micromax from your mind and your mobile shopping list.

DO NOT get fooled by fancy specifications and features.

They are only good if your Micromax lives to talk!

For all those Micromax customers out there, who feel equally cheated and let down and to all retailers ( including Croma), who hide behind clauses ( instead of supporting customers) - all I csay is ’it’s time to Ax Micromax’ - from shop shelves and consumer memory!!!
