Micromax Bharat-1 was a phone I was looking forward to considering bar phones are now a rarity. Firstly, though the ringtone quality of the phone is good but there are a lot of voice disruptions during call due to a faulty mic.
The user interface is simple and there is not much to do apart from making calls and sending texts. The design of the phone is nothing much to say. It is sleek. The keypad does have sensitivity issues and at times does not register keystrokes.
The internal memory of 4 GB is as low as it can get and after a few saved texts and pictures, the phone runs out of memory. One definitely needs a micro SD card to keep the phone running. The camera quality is not at all good and is very basic. Unless there is abundant lighting around, the camera is pretty much dysfunctional.
With 512 MB RAM, the speed of running apps on the phone is very lagging and the phone often hangs up. It does not have a quick charging facility as well. Battery backup is pretty good with a decent amount of standby time.
Though the phone was marketed as the cheapest and smoothest 4G phone in the country, it basically did not live upto the expectations considering it has a very low RAM and memory and thus surfing at high speeds is literally impossible with the phone often getting switched off.
