Not for sell

Micromax got its popularity from canvas series, now in this series they have a new monomer Micromax Canvas 5 of this chain in affordable price configured with android v5.1 ( Lollipop) upgradable to v6.0 ( Marshmallow) , 5.2 inches display, MediaTek octa-core processor, 13 & 5 MP camera, 16 GB ROM with 32 GB Ext. SD card support, 3 GB RAM and 2900 mAh battery. Here we will have Short review, Pros and Cons of Micromax Canvas 5.

When we stare at its look, body and design; the phone has built by the plastic with metallic frame on the sides. Instead of having plane edges it has curved arc which feels more comfortable to hold in the hand. The phone plastic doesn’t look like a good graded. Although the finishing and final built of handset is pretty well.

Micromax did a great job for making its display crisp and vivid by improving its resolution to 1080p ( full HD) and display density to 423 ppi, watching videos is pleasurable in this device. There is Ambient light sensor which automatically adjust its brightness in different lightning conditions. They have also providing Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect it from unwanted scratches.

The performance of Canvas 5 is based on its octa-core MediaTek processor coupled with 3 GB RAM, which seems quite sufficient although heating issue is associated when the heavy games are played on the phone for a longer time. Multitasking is smooth, lag free and as according to its budget it performs well.

This time in camera department Micromax improved a lot but still they are unable to make it sharp shooter camera in low light conditions. Outdoor photographs are quite good that is able to reproduce colours in photos more accurately than its predecessor handset. The 5 MP front camera also works fine to take some beautiful selfies.

The matter of positive side fades when we talk about its battery, Yes Company inserted a 2900 mAh battery in this handset but its speed of discharging is quite fast.

BAD THINGS ARE: -

  1. Takes very long time to charge fully around 3.5 hours.

  2. The speaker quality is quite average.

  3. A bit of lagging experienced esp. contacts.

4.Battery is non removable.

  1. Out of 16 GB only 10.75 GB available for user.
