Micromax launched Canvas Fire in July 2014.Last month in June 2016 Micormax has launched another version of it, Micromax Canvas Fire 5.As the technology is changing day by day Micromax is coming up with latest configured devices and this one of latest edition of it.
Purchase price of this product is Rs.6, 800/-.Now days while buying a mobile our first query is display of the device.And this mobile comes with 5.50 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels.Which is not so cool compared to other devices around the market.But you have to look at other specifications of this device before you proceed to any conclusion.
Now if you look at main or hardware part of this device, it has 1.3Ghz quad-core processor and 1 GB of RAM.Which is still not enough comparing to other devices around. And the main thing is that 1 GB of RAM is not enough to run latest high resolution games and apps. Today, s world multi tasking is essential part of our life and doing it on this device is not satisfying.But writing about hardware devices of this phone you have to admire one thing, it has 16 GB of Internal storage and it can be extended up to 64 GB using Micro SD card.Which is even better than Motorola Moto G Turbo edition.So this is a positive sign of this phone.
The next important part is camera.This phone packs a 8-Megapixels back side camera with flash and 5-Megapixels front camera with no flash.So, my view is that 5-Megapixels front camera without flash is all right looking at this price range but 8-Megapixels primary camera is not so cool.I do not like the camera part at all.
The thing I like the most about this phone is, it runs Android 6.0. Which is great.If I get Android 6.0 at this price I will take it.
Now days power bank is a big hit in the market and while buying a mobile we have to keep an eye on battery of the the device as well. Micromax Canvas Fire 5 is powered by 2500 mAh battery, but it non removable.
As fer as SIM is concern this is a dual sim phone and you do not need to cut your sim for support.It supports regular GSM sim card in both the slots.But the major drawback is you can only use 3G on the first SIM.This is quite disappointing.
Last part is connectivity options which include WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM. That’s common in any smart phone.And sensors include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer and Gyroscope.This is cool. Basically Gyroscope is is not available in many phone in this price segment not even in Micromax canvas 6 or Moto G Turbo Edition.
So, now coming to a conclusion as this phone comes with one year manufacturer warranty you can buy this device.Looking at price, configuration and everything this device is good if not the best at this price range.And keeping in mind Micromax brand value and previous record and major service support, I recommend this device.
